Our Youth Program
The goals of youth ministry at Celebration are to build relationships, build faith, and build character. Celebration has made a strong commitment to the young people of our community by providing a warm, safe, and caring environment were they can learn more about their relationship with Christ, and deepen their relationships with their peers. Our activities are designed to be age appropriate, challenging and fun. We build relationships with weekly and monthly meetings, explore our faith with lock-ins, retreats, ELCA gatherings, and build character through service events like Peace Meal and mission trips to Tecate. We have activities for middle school students (6th through 8th grade) and high school students (9th through 12th grade).
The 4:12 Crew! (6th-8th grade):
We have named this group “The 4:12 Crew”, We came up with this name from Timothy 4:12, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” We as a group feel that this is a verse that can help all of us see that our young people can be amazing examples of love, faith, and so much more! The kids are excited to call their group the 4:12 Crew, and are excited to be examples of what this name means.
We meet twice a month on a Saturday and Sunday. More information will be coming soon.
Senior High Youth Group (9th – 12th Grade):
We are all about relationships in this group. We feel it is important to be every growing and changing in our relationship with God, as well as with our friends. In this group we plan activities that challenge, grow and strengthen our faith in God. And we truly believe that God’s Grace is a gift that is freely given. This group is a place where you are welcome and encouraged to be yourself, to explore your faith and to have others that will walk with you in your faith journey. We come together every Sunday to laugh, to play, to learn, and to build those meaningful and long lasting relationships with God, our church, our community, and our friends!
