Youth Groups
The goals of youth ministry at Celebration are to build relationships, build faith, and build character. Celebration has made a strong commitment to the young people of our community by providing a warm, safe, and caring environment were they can learn more about their relationship with Christ, and deepen their relationships with their peers. Pastor Paul plans activities designed to be age appropriate, challenging and fun. We build relationships with weekly and monthly meetings, explore our faith with lock-ins, retreats, ELCA gatherings, and build character through service events like Peace Meal and mission trips to Tecate. Upcoming Youth Activities
March 16 - Friday - Senior High Youth Lock-Out! - This all night event starts at CLC – 7pm Friday and ends @ CLC 8am Saturday.
March 21 - Wed - 5th & 6th Grade Youth "Have Fun" Night - 7:00-8:30pm - We’ll be on a “Flashlight Scavenger Hunt” in the Woods! Dress WARM! Bring your favorite snack and beverage to share with everyone. This is a “Bring-A-Friend” event.
March 25 - Sunday - Sr High Youth Claiming our Space – Part 2. Plan on an afternoon at Church with a pizza dinner at 5pm. If you have to come late or leave early, that’s okay.
March 28 - Wed - Jr High Monthly "Have Fun Night" - 7:00 - 8:30 pm - We’ll have an evening of “Minute 2 Win-It” Challenges! Bring your favorite snack and beverage to share with everyone. This is a “Bring-A-Friend” event.
April 28 - Saturday - Save the Date - Teens to Tecate - An Auction with a Mission!
Our Sr. High Youth Group will be hosting an Auction on April 28th as their primary fundraiser for their mission trip to Tecate this summer. Our team will be building the start of two homes --- foundation, framing, and building the trusses. Other church groups will follow to complete the project. Aside from travel, housing, and meals, each team member’s expenses include paying for the building materials needed for the houses. Please help us make this opportunity possible for our youth, their leaders, and the families in Tecate.
Here are some other details about the Auction:
- April 28th - 6:30 PM
- Tickets will be pre-sold for $15 each, cash or checks only
- Free childcare will be provided
- Hors d’œuvres, beverages, and desserts will be served
- The auction will be a silent auction
If you have questions or something special you could donate for the auction, please talk to Matt Weber. (Some of the things donated in the past were dinner and sailing, a quilt, gourmet pizza dinner, tickets to a sporting event, themed gift baskets, etc.)
